Grab your measuring tape, and follow the steps below!

Use a measuring tape to find the longest width and the highest height of the wall. Don't include molding in your measurements.

Multiply the wall height by the wall width to get the total square footage for your project.

Find out how many square feet a single roll of your chosen wallpaper covers. Our peel & stick wallpaper comes in 24” width panels and various lengths.

Divide the wall square footage by the square footage per roll, then round up to the nearest whole number to determine the number of rolls needed for your project.

Wall height: 8’

Wall width: 10’

Square footage of wall: 8’ x 10’ = 80 square feet (or 11,520 square inches)

Roll size: 2’x12’ (or 24”x144”)

Roll coverage: 24 square feet (or 3,456 square inches)

Number of rolls needed: 80 square feet / 24 square feet = 3.33 (round up to 4 rolls)

Caroline's Tips & Tricks

If your wallpaper has a large pattern repeat, you may need to buy an extra roll to make sure your pattern lines up just how you want it to.

If there are doors or windows on the wall you’re wallpapering, you can subtract their approximate square footage from the total wall area before figuring out the number of rolls needed for your project.

It's a good idea to have a little wallpaper extra on hand to account for potential cutting errors during installation.
